Students who complete the Managing Technology and Innovation Concentration are eligible to have the Concentration noted on their transcripts (please see the Bulletin for the list of requirements). Take advantage of this focused set of courses to deepen your overall understanding of: the innovation context, organizing for innovation (both large firm issues and start-ups), the process of innovation (team and project management), and systems design. These courses will better prepare you to engage with the Santa Clara University technology and innovation community. Managing Technology and Innovation TodayMGMT 548 Approved for this Quarter as MTI ElectiveMonday, Aug. 23, 2010This Fall's MGMT 548 Social Benefit Entrepreneurship will focus on technology-based social ventures. This version of the course is available as an MTI elective. Some background: This course is a very practical experience giving much insights into social benefit entrepreneurship. The course achieves this through readings, case studies, & business model and sustainability analysis/assessment for existing social benefit ventures. This year the course is taught by eminent Santa Clara University Professors, Dr. Eric Carlson and Dr. Jim Koch. If you are interested in learning how you can apply your business skills in a real world scenario, you'll find great inspiration in taking this course. By attending the GSBI business plan presentations, you can learn more about the social ventures and the entrepreneurs who you might be working with as part of the case studies in fall.
