Executive MBA

For Experienced Executives

The 17-month MBA Program

Overview

The cohort beginning August 2009 consists of 30-35 executives with varied functional and industry expertise.  Each student will have at least 10+ years of work experience.  The enhanced curriculum is a result of the 2008 program redesign which was launched in Fall 2008.  Courses are primarily team projects with grades given for each class. An MBA Degree is granted on the successful completion of the Executive MBA Program.

Executive MBA Curriculum

The program begins and ends with intensive off-site residential weekends that are devoted to examining leadership.  Bridging these weekends are four academic terms lasting approximately three months each.  Each term has two themes:

Term 1:  Business Analytics and Business Environment
Term 2:  Creating Value and Global Markets
Term 3:  Go to Market and Supply Chain Management
Term 4:  Innovation, and New Business Ventures

Throughout the program Just-In-Time Boot Camps address foundational understanding of core disciplines including Accounting, Quantitative Modeling, Finance, Managerial Economics, Marketing and Operations.

Cutting edge immersion curriculum occurs in Term 3 and Term 4.  In term 3, Supply Chain Management will be taught by Professor Kalyanam, Keith Goodwin - SVP, Cisco, and Professor Naren Agrawal.  In Term 4, New Business Ventures will be taught by Professor Al Bruno.  (Please click on each name to view an introduction clip).

In term 1, students travel to China.  The 2008 planned business visits were to Lenovo, Citibank, Huawei, Agilent, Flextronics, Satyam, Jun He Law Offices, Accenture, and Technomic Asia.
