Graduate Business Admissions - Graduate Business Financial Aid

Financial Aid for Evening MBA, MBA PACE, Weekend Accelerated MBA, Saturday MBA, JD/MBA, and MSIS Graduate Business Programs

Financial aid is available to U.S. citizens and permanent residents of the United States. The aid comes in the form of loans, merit-based scholarships, need-based scholarships, and project assistantships. Students need not be admitted to the University before applying for financial aid. However, no offer of assistance will be made before a student is admitted.

Regardless of the type of financial aid applied for, graduate students must submit the FAFSA (Free application for Federal Student Aid) [link will open new window], and file with the appropriate office by the applicable deadline.

To learn more about Graduate Business Merit-based Scholarships, Need-based Scholarships, or Project Assistantships, download the MBA/MSIS Financial Aid Information and Application. To apply, submit the completed application with requested information to:

  2. The MBA/MSIS Financial Aid Application deadlines (one application should be filled out per student per academic year to be considered for scholarships):

Need-based Scholarships and Project Assistantships
Need-based Scholarships and Graduate Business Project Assistantships are administered by the Graduate Business Programs Financial Aid Office. To be considered for these, the applicant must:

  • be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • be in good academic standing
  • demonstrate financial need (based on information provided on the FAFSA form)

Most aid covers partial tuition only, and is in the form of project assistantships, which require work in administrative and/or research roles within the Business School. The School of Business also administers funds that provide assistance for students of diverse backgrounds, and for those with extenuating circumstances.

If you have any questions, please contact our office at (408) 554-4539.

Student Loans
Student loans are administered by the University Financial Aid Office (FAO) and Graduate Business (MBA/MSIS) students may qualify on the same basis as other University students. Loans are available to students with or without demonstrated financial need. All Graduate Business (MBA/MSIS) students requesting financial aid from the University should contact the FAO at 408-554-4505 at the earliest possible date, and request specific deadline information and appropriate application materials. The University's Financial Aid Office sets all deadlines for financial aid consideration. Please direct all inquiries regarding loans, loan eligibility, and loan application forms to the FAO.
