Graduate Business Career Management sponsors two career networking events annually that connect current students with alumni and employers to develop professional relationships.

Career Networking Reception May 8 2013

Networking is a fundamental part of the business school experience. 80% of all jobs are found through the networking process. Graduate Business Career Management sponsors two career networking events annually to help connect current students, alumni, and employers to create new connections which may lead to that next job opportunity.

University Career Center Events
In addition to the two networking events, the undergraduate University Career Center sponsors the following recruiting events:

On-Campus Interviewing (OCI)
The On-Campus Interviewing program offers targeted internship and full-time positions for graduate business students. To register for On-Campus Interviewing, there are three required steps:

  1.   Register for a BroncoLink account.?If you don’t already have an account, fill out the form here (http://www.scu.edu/business/graduates/careers/students/brocolink-access-request.cfm0). You will receive an automated email with your login and password within two business days.
  2. Complete the Career Center’s webshop which explains the processes and policies for OCI Note: references to resume reviews, dropins and mock interviews in the webshop are geared towards undergraduate students. You may take advantage of the same resources through Graduate Business Career Management.
  3. New this year: If you registered for OCI in a prior year you can take the “Returners” webshop. If you are brand new to OCI this year, you will take the “Newcomers” webshop. Click here to take it. (http://www.scu.edu/careercenter/students/oci/index.cfm) Follow the instructions to email your OCI code to the Career Center.
  4.  Prepare your resume and have it reviewed by a GBP career consultant. For tips on preparing your resume and MBA samples click here. Once you have updated your resume to include your SCU education, fill out this form (http://cms01.scu.edu//business/graduates/careers/events/resume-review-form.cfm) and you will receive feedback from a career consultant via email within three to five business days. Even if you have had your resume reviewed in the past we require a review for OCI.
After the above three requirements are met you will be given access to OCI in Broncolink.  OCI is a very small part of the services for Graduate Business Career Management. Few recruiters come to campus for this program, although they engage with us for MBA and MSIS hiring through Broncolink and our Linked In Group. Career Management continuously works to build relationships with key employers.

The 2012-2013 OCI schedule is:
Fall OCI: October 22 - November 16, 2012
Winter OCI: January 28 - March 1, 2013
Spring OCI: April 22-26, 2013
