  •  CIE Graduate Student Mixer - October 10

    SCU's Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) invites you to attend a Graduate Student Mixer on Friday, October 10, 2008 from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at the Kouzes-Posner Terrace on the 3rd Floor of Lucas Hall. Join the CIE for refreshments and networking opportunities to kick off the new school year.

  •  Important Parking Info for October 7

    The San Jose Earthquakes will play at Buck Shaw Stadium on Tuesday, October 7th at 7:00 PM. SCU has committed four (4) parking venues for the Earthquakes' exclusive use on this date. These include:

    Parking Structure--1st and 2nd floors;
    3rd Mission Lot--adjacent to the SCU Main Entrance (between Palm Dr and Franklin St);
    Leavey Lot & Accolti Way F spaces;
    Loyola Hall Lot.

    Prior to 4 PM:

    --Portions of the above four parking lots may be unavailable for SCU parking
    --E & E Law Permit holders will be directed to the 3rd floor of the Parking Structure for parking
    --Resident students who have F permits should move their vehicles to the Cowell or Facilities Lot B spaces
    --Faculty & Staff working past 5 PM on Tuesday are encouraged to park in the South Bannan Lot, Old Alameda Lot (west of Lucas Hall) or in one of the locations listed below to avoid having to move their vehicles

    After 4 PM:

    --N Permits and Graduate Hangtags will not be honored in the South Bannan Lot on the 7th to provide additional B Permit parking capability for faculty and staff
    --Students coming to campus are encouraged to initially drive to the lots located at the University Finance Office, the lot @ The Alameda & Benton, and the Franklin Lot (The Alameda & Franklin); or to seek on-street parking to avoid any delays in getting to your classes on time

    After 5 PM:

    All vehicles must be removed from the above four parking locations except as noted, no later than 5:00 PM on Tuesday the 7th. No SCU-permitted vehicles will be admitted after 4:00 PM, except to the 3rd floor of the Parking Structure. Vehicles remaining in these locations past that time are subject to citation and removal at the owner's expense.

    On-Campus Parking is available for SCU permit holders after 4 PM in the following parking areas:

    Palm Drive and Alviso St.;
    South Bannan Lot (adjacent to Bannan Hall) B Permits Only;
    Franklin Lot (corner Franklin & The Alameda);
    University Finance Office (990 Benton St, @ Lafayette);
    Old Alameda Lot (corner of Franklin & The Alameda) B Permits Only;
    Benson B Lot and Kids on Campus Lot (corner of Market & The Alameda);
    Cowell Lot;
    Facilities parking lot

    Vehicles parked in these locations must display a valid SCU Permit.

    Vehicles without permits are subject to citation and removal at the owner's expense.

    Campus Resident Parking Lots (C, CN, CW, D, and D Off-campus) are not impacted by this event.

    Campus Safety Officers will be posted at Palm Drive, Accolti Way, and at the Franklin Lot to enforce permit requirements.

    Santa Clara Police Dept. has also advised that parking on southbound El Camino Real between Accolti Way and The Alameda is prohibited on game dates.

  •  Special Panel Presentation - October 2

    Graduate Business students are invited to attend a special panel presentation on Thursday, October 2nd from 4:15 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. in the Forbes Family Conference Center (Lucas Hall) on "What's happening in the economy? What does it mean for me and you?"

    Presenters will include executives from Morgan Stanley and Bank of NY/Mellon as well as Professor Alexander Field (Economics).  We hope you will join us for this lively and timely conversation.

  •  Sept. 28 - Last Day to Add/Drop Classes

    Monday, Sep. 22, 2008

    The last day to add classes for the Fall 2008 quarter is Sunday, September 28th.

    The last day to drop classes and be eligible for 100% tuition refund less any applicable drop fees is also Sunday, September 28th.

  •  ACCESS Cards for New Students Now Available

    Monday, Sep. 22, 2008

    All new students starting the MBA or MSIS program in Fall 2008 are strongly encouraged to obtain their SCU ACCESS card by Friday, September 26th.

    The ACCESS Card Office is located in the Benson Center in Room 106.  Hours of operation are as follows:

    Monday and Thursday: 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
    Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

  •  Fall 2008 Waitlists

    Monday, Sep. 15, 2008

    With the exception of IDIS 705, waitlists are now running for all Fall 2008 Graduate Business courses.  Fall 2008 waitlists will be deleted Sunday, September 21st prior to the start of classes on Monday, September 22nd.

    After the waitlists are deleted, students may continue to add and drop classes with 100% tuition refund (less any applicable drop fees) through Sunday, September 28th.

  •  New ACTG 300 Section for Fall 2008

    An additional section of ACTG 300 has been added to the Fall 2008 Schedule.  Roger Barnes will teach section #45120 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:45 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.  Interested students may enroll via eCampus.

  •  Late Registration and Drop Fees Begin September 15th

    Wednesday, Sep. 10, 2008

    Late registration and drop/swap fees for the Fall 2008 quarter will begin Monday, September 15th.

    The last day to add a class or drop a class with 100% tuition refund (minus the drop fee) is Sunday, September 28th.
