IDIS 696 : The European Business & Finance Environment—Study Tour to London, England and Geneva, Switzerland

The course focus will be on the global financial markets from the UK and Swiss perspective. Among the aspects studied will be how globalization impacts the world financial markets, and doing business in India and Asia.
Students will spend five days at the London School of Economics and in Geneva for three days, meeting with financial officials (e.g. the former head of the Bank of England), and visiting companies which have successfully managed the transition from nationalized organizations to free-market, global corporations.
Prerequisites : FNCE 451 and two quarters residence in the MBA program at the time of travel
Cost : $4,500, plus tuition and airfare.
Note: Students will be responsible for travel between London and Geneva (must be in Geneva the evening of the 29th), and booking accommodations for June 27 and 28, during the free weekend.
