AnaKarina looks forward to assisting MBA students and alumni with their career management issues and job searches. She is also looking forward to the opportunity to build stronger relationships with Bay Area employers. In her role as Director of Career Management & Student Life, she acts as career counselor, employer relations manager, and workshop leader. She serves the needs of graduate business students and alumni with all aspects of career development and management. In addition, she has implemented new programs such as "Network Nights" and the Graduate Business Career Fair. She joined the Santa Clara University staff in 2002 after having served at Seagate Technology as a University Relations Representative for three years. AnaKarina graduated from SCU in 1998 with a BA in psychology and a master's in counsling with an emphasis in career development in December 2005.
Assistant Director, Events & Operations
In her role as Assistant Director, Sonia's main goal is to get students engaged with one another, outside of the classroom and to broaden their connections to students in other SCU graduate programs. She works closely with the GBP Networks in their event programming and serves as the key planner for events such as the Career Fair, Happy Hour, Orientation, and the Graduation Reception. She graduated from Santa Clara University in 2000 with a BS in Sociology and joined the Santa Clara University staff in March 2006. With a diverse background in nonprofit, higher education, and corporate sectors, she understands that one's career may take many roads.
Assistant Director, Career Coaching & Counseling
Victoria joins the GBP Career Management staff with six years of marketing and sales experience in the technology industry. She is particularly familiar with the networking, semiconductor, and enterprise software sectors. In addition, she has experience providing career coaching to mid-level managers in a variety of industries. Victoria completed her MA in counseling psychology with an emphasis in career development at Santa Clara University in 2007. She also has an M.A. in Asian studies from the University of Pennsylvania, and a B.A. in international relations, Japanese, and East Asian studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
