Organization: TechnoServe (Kenya)
Role: Senior Business Manager
Vision: Economically empower young women living in the slums of Nairobi with opportunities to generate sustainable incomes, so that they lead dignified lives out of poverty.
Inspiring Challenge: Over 10,000 young women will have opportunities to generate sustainable income for themselves, their families and communities. (by December 2013)

Accomplishments:
- Trained 3700 girls and young women in entrepreneurship and business skills through the Young Women in Enterprise program.
- Rallying corporations to support and invest in girls. For example, Coca Cola is supporting 100 girls through their 5 by 20 women Empowerment program. This is a pilot expected to be scaled up.

Accomplishments:
- Developed a project in and about a problematic country for my Masters thesis.
- Managing a project that is aimed to improve peoples' lives without modifying their local beliefs. A moment of pride was to know that the project will be implemented.

Accomplishment: Last year, our first year, we helped 4 women from Rwanda win US scholarships at top-ranked U.S colleges. We turned $20,000 in seed money into $1,000,000 in educational funds.

- I challenged the biased treatment I faced in my last year of studies by doubling my efforts to achieve high standing. I was also promoted as Idealistic Student on departure.
- I got my own independence by living alone in Luxor. I also received high recognition from my colleagues and students as one of the best teaching skilled professors.
