Programs - Women At the Well

Women At the Well

  • Would you like to be part of a community of women who can challenge each other's leadership assumptions and practices?
  • Are you the kind of person who loves to help others see business challenges as growth and learning opportunities?
  • Are you encouraged as a leader when you have a network of peers to support you?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, join us At the Well and inspire each other to action!

Women At the Well is dialogue for women who dare. Provocative and introspective conversations stimulate participants as women, leaders, and members of the world community. Wells are an opportunity to share in facilitated conversations around key issues women are experiencing in their lives.

The Reluctant Adventurer

Friday, June 20, 2008
Rosie Kuhn

In the words of our speaker: “As a child, I didn’t set out to be anything but a mom and a wife. Yet, I find myself, after five and a half decades, having involved myself in some outrageous adventures, undreamed of as an adolescent who dreamed only of the arrival of Prince Charming. Choosing a life as a noncustodial mother of infants, crossing the Atlantic Ocean, achieving a Ph.D., and writing a book on self-empowerment - whatever happened to my dream of being a mom? Rarely are we able to understand the unfolding of our own story until we have the opportunity to look back and see what it was all about.

Self-Empowerment 101 is a culmination of all the workings involved in getting clear about who I am, what my truth is, and how I’ll engage with the world in the most passionate and fulfilling way. It took a life time of experience to bring myself to this level of presence, this level of clarity, and this level of courage to share myself with the world.”
