Carol Sands

Carol is the Founder and Managing General Partner of The Halo Fund (a Venture Capital Fund) and Founder and Managing Member of The Angels’ Forum (a professional angel investment group). She has spent the last 40 years as an investor, a self-funded entrepreneur in her own nine start-ups, or an “intrapreneur” in large corporate institutions, such as First Bank Systems, Xerox Computer Services, Motorola, Arthur Young, and Coopers & Lybrand.

In addition to her work with GWLN, Carol is an instructor for Stanford University’s Continuing Education Program. She is a Charter Member of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), a member of the International Women's Forum and the Vice President of the Sands Family Foundation, which funds pre- and early-stage NIH research relating to prostate and ovarian cancers.
