Mission Statement

Santa Clara University's Business School develops men and women for competence, conscience, and compassion who can provide leadership in technologically advanced and rapidly changing global environments. The development of competence is reflected in our commitment to teaching excellence and the scholarly research necessary to animate instruction and foster the creation of knowledge. The development of conscience is enhanced through an emphasis on reflective inquiry that is both professionally rigorous and ethically sound. Compassion is at the intersection of competence and conscience, and is fostered through an appreciation of multiple perspectives and recognition of the human being as part of every equation.

  • MelissaJungeMelissa Junge, INC Chair

Melissa Junge is in her fourth (and final!) year in the SCU MBA program. She is currently working full time as Marketing Coordinator at Moog Animatics in Santa Clara while attending SCU in the evenings. Previously, she's provided marketing expertise for a range of industries including digital storage, construction, professional athletics, food and beverage and more. She graduated from UC Santa Cruz in 2009 with a BS in Business Management Economics and was one of the top rebounders on UCSC's NCAA Women's Basketball Team. Though spare time is almost a foreign concept to her, she loves to explore and hike around California, sit down with a good Stephen King or Chuck Palahniuk book or lead yoga classes at work and attend them at night.  Last year Melissa was the President of the Women in Business Network (WIB) and organized the 10th Annual Women in Business Conference at eBay in San Jose, increasing attendance by 27% over previous years. Prior to that, she was the VP of Marketing for the Women in Business Network.
