Meet The Board!

• Khushboo Murarka, President

  Khushboo is an MSIS 2013 Candidate. She carries an extensive 5 year experience as a software engineer in an MNC where she utilized her excellent multi-tasking and leadership skills to successfully complete several key projects. She is highly motivated and enthusiastic to pursue her career in the field of Information System Analysis. Carrying a versatile talent set, she is currently pursuing multiple projects at Concert Global Inc. and Silicon Valley Bank. 
  As the president of ISC, she intends to increase the visibility of ISC within the University and outside. She aims to enhance the exposure among the ISC participants towards the state of the art in Knowledge Management through various social and technical events.
  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time in cooking authentic cuisines, traveling and exploring the natural beauty as well as plan social nights with friends and family.

• Alisha Allen, VP of Marketing and Conference Planning

  Alisha joined the MSIS program in 2011. She is currently an Application Product Manager at Risk Management Solutions (RMS), designing Next Generation software for Cloud Computing.
  Prior to working with RMS, she was managing robotic engineering projects at NASA AMES.
  She wants ISC to help aspire, network and empower members to become the best Technology Leaders possible.
  While not immersed in Silicon Valley technology, she can be found outdoors. She's versed in many outdoor sports and activities, as well as adding her own artistic flair to her families' bakery business.

• Jeremy Roberts, VP of Alumni Relations

  Jeremy started at SCU in 2010. He is currently working on his capstone project and is planning to graduate by the end of the 2013 spring quarter.
  He has worked in product management and engineering at startups throughout the bay area. He is now using that experience to start a new company, providing eCommerce services to small businesses.

• Nitesh Phabiani, VP of Operations

  Nitesh is in his second year at the SCU MSIS program. He is currently interning with the Supply Chain group at Dole Foods.
  He graduated from University of Mumbai in 2011 with a Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering and was one of the most active members of the event planning committee for the University. He brings his operations experience leading various events, seminars, visits all through his undergrad college life. He was a volunteer for the ISC last year and helped organize various events for it.
  He foresees ISC turning into one of the most active and largest clubs in Santa Clara, not only limited to technical events and seminars but also where people get a chance to let their hair down after a day full of work and classes.
  In his spare time, Nitesh likes listening to electronic music, read philosophy, and travel.

• Rashmi Salvi, VP of Marketing and Social Media

  Rashmi is a MSIS candidate at Santa Clara University.
  She has more than 6 years of experience in Project Management, Marketing, Information Technology and Client Relations. In her last position, she was working as Deputy Marketing Manager at Godrej & Boyce, a multinational company in India.
  She has completed her MBA with specialization in Marketing from NMIMS,one of India’s premier Management Institutes. Before that she graduated with Bachelors in Architecture from University of Mumbai.
  She is highly motivated and eager to pursue her career in Information Technology field.
  She volunteers at Asha for Education – a NGO dedicated to support education in India. In her spare time she enjoys painting, cooking and reading.

• Rekha Rana, VP of Finance

  Rekha is currently interning for International Student Services assisting DSO in day-to-day activities.
  She has 6+ years of experience in Financial Analysis, Management Information reporting, ERP implementation and Change Management.
  Rekha is friendly and helpful in nature and is always available to discuss non-immigration status issues as well as any personal financial matters.

• Smriti Patodi, VP of Web Technology

  Smriti joined the MSIS program in 2012.
  Before joining SCU she was working at IBM India as a Test Specialist for 2 years. She enjoys organizing and managing events. She worked as the Organizing Secretary of the Fine Arts Society at her undergraduate college MNIT Jaipur.
  She is an avid reader, and loves traveling and experiencing the local culture.
