2011John_Schneider_John Schneider is Group Director of Strategy at Silverlign, a full service marketing agency with expertise in marketing strategy development, creative, user experience design, and development. As an accomplished Silicon Valley professional, he has spent more than half his career as a strategy, technology, and marketing consultant. His current position focuses primarily on the cultivation of new and existing client relationships by establishing an effective strategy. His group is accountable for business analysis, user experience design, marketing services, and operations.

With a strong background in consulting, Schneider’s passion centers on assisting global organizations to define and implement marketing strategies that strengthen brand presence and program effectiveness. It is this passion that led to holding a lecturer position at the Leavey School of Business since 2007. He teaches Business Capstone, titled MGMT 162 Strategic Business Analysis, and BUSN 72 Leadership Skills.

Before joining Silverlign, Schneider held a broad range of technology related positions.  Most recently, he worked for a digital marketing agency, LEVEL Studios (a Publicis company), where he was Account Director for leading clients including Cisco, Skype, WebEx and Intuitive Surgical. During his tenure, he also led the Business Analyst department, where he established the team and methodology for producing agency-wide marketing and product requirements documents. Prior to joining LEVEL Studios, he worked for Seagate Technology, where he led strategic planning for Seagate’s online globalization programs. As a professional services consultant with Vigilance, he was responsible for designing and implementing supply chain performance management solutions utilizing Vigilance software that integrated with enterprise solutions such as Oracle and SAP. He also worked with Deloitte Consulting, supporting Fortune 500 clients such as Hewlett Packard, Lucent Technology, and Silicon Graphics.

Schneider holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, a minor in French from Aix-Marseille III University in Aix-en-Provence, France, and an MBA from Santa Clara University.
