About Our Program

Our undergraduate management majors take a rigorous foundation of courses to foster innovative ideas and efficiently work in a variety of organizational structures.  We emphasize management as a deliberate practice wherein graduates are theoretically informed, technically skilled, and imbued with a sense of responsibility and care for all stakeholders and the public good. And there is no better place than Silicon Valley to learn about Entrepreneurship and Leading Innovative Organizations through our MBA concentrations.

International Business Minor

The minor in international business is designed to educate students in a broad range of management and business skills in a global context. The program includes coursework in language, social science, and international business and is open to all undergraduate students.

Entrepreneurship Minor

Declare an entrepreneurship minor if you're interested in either developing a business or working in a startup with the chance to explore entrepreneurship as a career option and acquire the skills that can help you be successful.

Esther Sackett Assistant Professor, Management

Assistant Professor of Management, Esther Sackett, recognized for her "innovative and student-centered teaching style" in Poets&Quants annual international list. Prior to academia, Sackett spent six years working in the healthcare industry, doing program development and evaluation in hospitals and nonprofits. Her research investigates the interpersonal dynamics of collaboration and motivation at multiple levels of analysis.

Congratulations to Assistant Professor of Management, Hooria Jazaieri, Ph.D. who has been named as one of the Top 50 Undergraduate Business Professors by Poets&Quants. The honor, from Poets&Quants' fourth annual list, came in the form of nominations from 1000+ students, alumni, colleagues, and school deans and is based on a weighted consideration of research (30%) and teaching (70%).

Professor of Management

Michael Santoro along with colleagues Haibing Lu (Information Systems & Analytics), Michele Samorini (Information Systems & Analytics), as well as Shannon Harris from VCU, and Linda Goler Blount from the Black Women Health Imperative recently won the prestigious 2021 INFORMS Minority Issues Forum (MIF) award for their work on racial disparity in health care.
