Mind | Work : Fall 2008From the DeanAs I read the articles about our Operations and Management Information Systems (OMIS) faculty in this issue of Mind|Work, I was struck once again by how the ways technology touches our lives—many times in a manner we can’t see or predict. Our OMIS scholars are developing tools to manage these tech touchpoints. Their work addresses ramifications of technology and globalization. From building a framework for language-specific search engines to food safety on a global scale to literally writing the book on retail supply chain management, their research moves us towards mastery of the systems and machines that run our world. You can read more about our OMIS faculty and their work in this issue's PDF (opens in new window) or on these webpages. All the best, Barry Z. Posner |
