A Note From the Dean

Mind@Work: Summer 2014

Dean Starbird

In the Leavey School of Business, we are committed to—as the University’s 2020 Strategic Plan states—“foster innovation and entrepreneurship in service of humanity,” and our Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) is leading the way. Through its initiatives, the CIE helps students, alumni and community members develop skills and businesses that create prosperity for their families and their communities. Their achievements are as varied as the marketplace, and we’ve been able to capture only a few in this issue. I am inspired by their ideas and their passion for the work and I hope you enjoy their stories.

Drew Starbird
Dean and Professor of Operations & Management Information Systems
