Learning Objectives
  1. Understand the strategic importance of supply chain (SC) management to the performance and competitiveness of the firm
  2. Analyze supply chains both quantitatively and qualitatively, and identify key managerial challenges and solutions
  3. Understand the impact of SC coordination; identify and analyze mechanisms to enable coordination
  4. Understand how to manage SC complexities resulting from product variety
  5. Identify key sources of risk in supply chains, and develop and analyze strategies to hedge against the consequences
  6. Understand the relationship between product design and SC performance
  7. Analyze the role of information technology in leveraging customer relationships over the entire product lifecycle
