  • MBA Program Ranked #37 of 323

    Wednesday, Mar. 18, 2015 11:17 AM

SCU's MBA program was ranked #37 in "The Best Grad Schools Guide 2016" published by U.S. News & World Report last week, improving from #46 last year, and tying with Villanova, Georgia, SMU, UC Irvine, Clemson, and Boston College.

"There are several reasons for the improvement," said Dean Drew Starbird, "including an increase in the average GPA, average GMAT score, and increased work experience of our latest class of MBA students."

U.S. News editors surveyed deans and MBA program directors of 323 part-time MBA programs in the nation and used their assessment along with schools' entrance exam scores, student work experience, and percentage of class that was enrolled part-time to create the Guide rankings.

Among Jesuit business schools, Santa Clara tied with Boston College for the #2 spot, and is ranked #5 among California MBA programs.

  • Undergraduate Business Program in BusinessWeek Top 50

    Thursday, Mar. 21, 2013 10:24 AM

BusinessWeek editors placed Santa Clara University’s undergraduate program at no. 38 in its recently released “Best Undergraduate Business Schools 2013” website, awarding an “A+” in the faculty quality and facilities categories, with job placement receiving an “A.”

The list is compiled from annual surveys of seniors and campus recruiters, and factors in data about starting salaries and graduate school attendance. The editors combine the current year survey with results from the previous two years to produce a score in each category. The Leavey School of Business was ranked at 35 in 2012; the school has appeared in the Top 50 since it first began participating in the rankings in 2006.
