Bill Kahl, part-time faculty member in the Management Department, passed away on Sunday, August 14, after a lengthy illness.
Bill had taught in the Management Department for 10 years, coming to SCU after working in a variety of leadership roles in the semiconductor industry, including more than 20 years with National Semiconductor, where he was managing director of Southeast Asia sales and marketing, director of marketing for North American distribution, and president of National’s wholly owned sales subsidiary. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from New York University, earned his MBA from the University of Southern California, and received his doctorate from the University of San Francisco in 1999.
Services will be on Monday, August 22, at 10:00 A.M. in the Santa Clara Mission Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Bill’s name be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital (call 1-800-822-6344 and direct donation to tribute #28773333).
Messages of condolence may be sent or dropped by the Dean’s office, which will be forwarded to the family.
