MBA Team Places First in Case Competition

A team of Santa Clara MBA students took first place in the International Food and Agribusiness Management Association (IFAMA) Student Case Competition on June 19.

Twenty-two teams competed from universities across the globe. Each team was given 8 hours to analyze a case and provide their solution to the business problem. SCU’s case asked team members to evaluate growth opportunities for the Italian tomato processing firm, Mutti.

MBA students Michael Billikopf, Tina Cosentino, Alvin Chen, Ngoc Dao Ngo, and Zach Wise, were mentored by Food and Agribusiness faculty, staff, and alumni. Those advisors included Michael Enos, Erika French-Arnold, Mike Harwood, and Mahbod Parvar, as well as Institute Director Greg Baker.
