Using Meir Statman’s study of ‘spurned’ companies, Reuters columnist James Saft cautioned against chasing after ‘super stocks’ like Apple when better performance might come from less popular companies. Saft cited Staman’s 2010 study with World Bank economist Deniz Anginer, published in The Journal of Portfolio Management.
