Alumnus John Hogan is recognized by the White House
Thursday, Sep. 26, 2013
Executive MBA alumnus John Hogan, MBA ’09, was honored as a Champion of Change today, September 26, by the Obama Administration for his work with the Youth Jobs+ program. His company, TeenForce, works to solve the youth employment crisis.
“This recognition demonstrates the power of community collaboration to solve a real social problem,” said Hogan in TeenForce’s press release. “In three short years, our work with Santa Clara County business, government and civic leaders has shown that a market-based approach to solving teen unemployment can work very well. I’m particularly proud of the teens that have made TeenForce a success. This honor belongs to them for their commitment to hard work and to strengthening our communities.”
The ceremony, which was streamed live online, took place at the White House where John was joined by his wife Lisa, mother Mary, and a group of TeenForce youth.
