 Mario Belotti : Employment Figures Slow to Rebound : Mercury News

Mario Belotti, the W.M. Keck Professor of Economics, in the Leavey School of Business, writes in the Mercury News that unemployment will be stubbonly high over the next few years. He says the 'discouraged worker' phenonemon will contribute to lagging numbers. As firms start hiring, he explains, the unemployed person who has just stopped looking will jump back into the hunt.
