Attention RMI Alums and Seniors!

G Hensler has two current job openings! One for an Account Manager and one for a Production Assistant.

ACCOUNT MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION


Sourcing:

  1. Work with Account/Sales/Design to determine product needs with target prices and quantities
  2. Review tech packages and send to factories for sampling
  3. Monitor and track samples with factories
  4. Develop cost options to offer alternative solutions in order to meet Accounts’ desired pricing when challenged
  5. Negotiate best prices and deliveries with factories and Accounts
  6. Identify new opportunities for sales volume growth

 

Production:

  1. Obtain Purchase Orders and check for accuracy
  2. Create and maintain seasonal tracking tool to ensure orders are shipped on time
  3. Monitor color and sample approvals with factories and Account
  4. Order all necessary trims (hangtags, labels, hangers, etc) for the order
  5. Review all size sets, PP and TOP samples against confirmation samples before sending to Account
  6. Partner with Logistics to ensure testing is completed in timely manner in order to meet delivery dates
  7. Track shipments and communicate any delivery delays with Account
  8. Send clear communications with factories to ensure customers’ requests/expectations are met
  9. Be the liaison between factories and customers to resolve any production issues that arise.

 

PRODUCTION ASSISTANT JOB DESCRIPTION

 

 

Production Responsibilities

  1. Sample tracking and keep good record of samples sent with photos & copies
  2. Maintain Work In Progress reports daily
  3. Assist special accounts in assigning UPC codes
  4. Prepare line sheets, track, gather and send samples for customer meetings & presentations
  5. Assist in the preparing and sending of Pre-Production, Sizing and Top of Production samples
  6. Assist in sample tagging and labeling for all stages
  7. Occasional couriering samples to customers in the downtown San Francisco areas
  8. Filing and binder organization for different customers and seasons
  9. Prepare swatch cards based on customer’s needs
  10. Maintain development charts for multiple accounts on a daily basis
  11. Assist in updating and maintaining costing worksheets for multiple accounts

 

Office Administration

  1. UPS – manage all package shipping issues
  2. Record incoming shipments
  3. Process outgoing shipments to factories in Asia and customers in the US
  4. Maintain shipping binders
  5. Order supplies
  6. Assist with special projects (e.g. sample sale)
  7. Office maintenance / Equipment maintenance

 

Skills/Qualifications

  1. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, ability to work with complex and detailed data to drive insights
  2. Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook Email, Microsoft Office and Excel
  3. Must be detail-oriented
  4. Willingness to take on additional projects
  5. BA / BS degree required
  6. Interest/knowledge of retail and apparel industry
