The Retail Management Institute at Santa Clara University joins newly launched National Retail Federation Student Association (NRFSA).

“NRF’s Student Association will connect young adults with top retailers seeking talent to fuel their companies’ success,” said NRF President and CEO and NRF Foundation President Matthew Shay. “This group offers students a competitive advantage over their peers through access to networking events with retail hiring managers, opportunities to take part in research opportunities, industry competitions and leadership programs, helping students to build their resume and prepare them for rewarding retail careers.”

    "Transforming Leadership with Social Technology"

“Be Open, Be Transparent, Be Authentic” are the current leadership and management mantras – but there is often push back. Traditionally business is premised on the concept of control and yet the new world order demands openness.

In this program, Charlene Li (author of Open Leadership and co-author of the blockbusting bestseller Groundswell) shows you how to tap into the power of the social technology revolution and use social media to be “open” while maintaining control.

She explains how Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Yammer, Jive and other popular social media sites can improve efficiency, communication, and decision-making for leaders, managers, and their organizations.
