Service
Goal 1. Continue to provide a host of courses at the lower and upper division level which satisfy a diversity of Core requirements.
- 1a. Petition for appropriate upper division courses to satisfy the Third Writing Requirement and/or Honors courses.
Goal 2. Maintain current links and develop new ones between the de Saisset Museum and the Department of Art and Art History.
- 2a. Find ways to continue to support ARTH 198 (Explore with Me--Student Docent Training), a student-designed, 2 credit, docent-training course.
- 2b. Find ways to encourage faculty to link significant scholarship to de Saisset exhibitions.
Goal 3. Encourage and recognize faculty service to the professional organizations in their field.
- 3a. Recognize and reward administrative and leadership roles in professional organizations.
- 3b. Propose and organize sessions for professional organizations.
- 3c. Petition Dean's and Provost's Offices to provide support to host annual meetings of professional organizations. Have majors play roles in organizing such meetings.
