Francesco Guazzelli was born in Florence on May 10, 1962. He is a professional photographer working both with digital and traditional photography, both 35mm and medium format.
Francesco studied photography at Fortman Studios School in Florence and obtained a diploma “Divos” and “Ninsmoda” and the German “Textil Wirtschaft” and “Textil Mitteilungen” as well as the American monthly “Robb Report.” He also works with the theatre company “Machhine di Bosco” as a still photographer and assistant set designer.
He is a professor of photography at Syracuse University in Florence since January 2000. In, he taught photography at the Art School in Florence.
In 2003 he created the entire catalogue of “Techlà”, a hi-tech accessories factory, working exclusively with digital media in studio.
Since 2001 he is the official photographer of the press office of Stazione Leopolda in Florence.
Since 1991 He was worked as laboratory technician in the Department of photography at Syracuse University in Florence and since 2001 he is the photographer of the events organized by the University.
Since 1989 he is the official photographer of the press office of Pitti Immagine.
From he taught photography at Fortman Studios.
In 1986, he began an on-going collaboration as a photographer with Centro Moda di Firenze in the international fashion shows of Pitti Immagine (Pitti Uomo, Pitti Bimbo Pitti Casa etc.).
