Marco Marquez

Bay Area native Marco Marquez graduated from SCU in 1997 with a B.A. in art. His undergraduate studies focused on graphic design and painting. After graduation he pursued an MFA in Computer Art at the New York School of Visual Arts “SVA”, where he graduated in 1999. After his return to the Bay Area, Marco worked for multiple design agencies in Silicon Valley whose clients include Fortune 500 companies such as SONY, Apple, Cisco, and Sun. His experience in the graphic design world began as an intern, and has evolved into lead/senior designer managing junior designers and clients. His experience in the design world includes designing and producing print media, corporate branding, advertising, keynote presentations, event graphics, web design, and brochures.

Marco returned to the Art department as a Lecturer in September 2004 to teach computer art and graphic design courses. Marco oversees the art computer lab and is currently working on expanding the courses offered. Marco is also currently pursuing his fine art interests in painting, and mixed media.
