| Ryan Reynoldsreceived a B.A. from UC Santa Cruz in 1997, and an MFA from UC Berkeley in 2003. He has held teaching positions at UC Berkeley, UC Davis, and the Community College of San Francisco. Reynolds work has been exhibited at the Berkeley Art Museum, and in other national venues such as the Galesburg Civic Art Center in Illinois. In the summer of 2005 he was invited to be an artist in residence at I-Park, in East Haddam Connecticut. Both the g2 Gallery in Scottsdale, Arizona and sakata garo in Sacramento represent his work. Recent work will be featured in an upcoming edition of New American Paintings, December 2005. Currently he is preparing for shows at the Headlands Center for the Arts, and a solo exhibition in October 2006 at sakata garo. "My paintings are derived from, and a response to the complexity of visual experience and perception. I use found forms and colors as a vehicle to explore the awareness of self within the context of society." |
