Fern Silva
Instructional Technology
Professional background: Mr. Silva is an accomplished technology professional with experience in managing an Information Technology department, the design and implementation of diverse multi-vendor custom and training labs and as a technical consultant to business owners and individuals. Mr. Silva is a Microsoft and Apple Systems Engineer, and a Certified Network Engineer (CNE).
Teaching areas/responsibilities: Mr. Silva currently teaches and manages technology labs at Santa Clara University with an emphasis on the Avid video editing platform. He also manages the Wiegand Teleconferencing Center in Arts and Sciences and supports the digital video production facility in the Communication Department.
Leisure: In his spare time, Mr. Silva enjoys playing the guitar, snowboarding, music/dancing, and most recently, cooking.
