Journalism Projects
Over the years, communication students studying journalism have published their work in a variety of local and national media.
These projects include
- Nate Seltenrich ('04), as part of an internship with Metro Silicon Valley, published two stories: Jealous Again, on the buzz band Jealous Sound, and Higher Power Chord, on the Christian rock band, Fighting Jacks.He also had an internship with Zero magazine at which time he published a cover story on the popular indie rock band, Modest Mouse.
- Jennifer Kanne, David Dunch, Joe Tone, Nicci Schellinger, Emily Bechen, Helen Allrich, Jaehoon Moon, Steve McCarthy, Laura Vidunas, Natalie Calderon and Alexandra Tieu. (2001). Online Gambling Sinks Students into Debt. The story also appeared in the San Jose Metro, under the title, "You're So Money," and in the Congressional Record, July 12, 2001 "Financial Aspects of Internet Gaming: Good Gamble or Bad Bet?" Hearing before the Subcomittee on Oversight and Investigations", pg. 41-50.
