A Message from the Dean

The College of Arts and Sciences at Santa Clara University juxtaposes the innovation and intellectual vitality of Silicon Valley with ethical integrity, social responsibility, and a commitment to justice and the common good.  We are committed to our students and their development as individuals who think critically, communicate effectively, appreciate and respect diversity, and focus on preparing for life.  We are committed to our faculty, award-winning authors and artists who have achieved national and international recognition among their peers and who receive praise and admiration from students for passionate and inspired teaching.  And we are committed to our world, as we prepare leaders who will bring knowledge and expertise, as well as a humanizing, ethical perspective to their roles as scholars and professionals.
