Dr. Susan FrisbieSenior LecturerDr. Susan S. Frisbie received her Ph.D. in English Literature from the University of California, Berkeley, and her B.A. in English Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laud from the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Frisbie has been at Santa Clara University since 1982, teaching writing and literature courses at all levels. She also serves the University as a Pre-law Advisor. She has received a number of collaborative grants, including NEH and Irvine Foundation Grants, to develop cross-curricular and multicultural pedagogy for the writing program. She and her colleagues have presented the results of their work at national conferences. During her 2010-2011 sabbatical, Dr. Frisbie has continued her research on current and historical response to Jane Austen’s work, and on Austen adaptations and appropriations in various forms. Her research has led her to a range of resources and locations, in both the UK and the US. Courses Taught
