Biographical Information

Linda Garber received her B.A. from Harvard and her M.A. and Ph.D. from the Program in Modern Thought and Literature at Stanford University. Linda Garber joined the English Department as an Associate Professor in 2001. She was formerly a tenured Associate Professor at California State University, Fresno. She is also the Director of the Women's and Gender Studies Program.

Recently Linda was the recipient of The Michael Lynch Service Award of the Gay, Lesbian and Queer caucus of the MLA for her work at SCU co-founding and co-organizing the "Out There Conference" last year. She will be giving a keynote address at the second conference at DePaul University in the fall of 2007.
