Biographical Information

Kirk Glaser earned his Ph.D. in American literature at the University of California, Berkeley, and his B.A. from Dartmouth College. Awards for his work include an American Academy of Poets prize, University of California Poet Laureate Award, Sundog Poetry Prize, and Chester H. Jones National Poetry Prize.

  • Kirk Glaser’s poetry and fiction have appeared in The Threepenny Review, Sou’Wester, Confrontation, Alsop Review, The Caribbean Review, Berkeley Poetry Review, and elsewhere. 
  • He has also published scholarly articles on the poets Robinson Jeffers and Mary Oliver.
  • He is currently seeking a publisher for a middle-reader novel, Lefthandland, about a girl and a microscopic civilization in her left hand, both of which are threatened by the conquering forces of the Rightlands.
