Roseanne Quinn Ph.D.

Lecturer

Roseanne Giannini Quinn, Ph.D. has been teaching in the English department at Santa Clara University since the fall of 2002. She has a M.A. from the University of Sussex in England and a Ph.D. from the University of Iowa. Over the years, she has taught a variety of courses in English composition and rhetoric; contemporary U.S. ethnic literature; women's studies, diversity and activism; as well as popular culture. 



Her research interests include writing, race, and ethnicity; feminist theory and pedagogy, visual modes of rhetoric, and Italian American studies.
Her most recent articles have been included in MELUS: The Journal of the Society for the Study of the Multi-Ethnic Literature of the United States, and in the Journal of American Culture. At Santa Clara, she teaches primarily in the core composition and rhetoric program and is also affiliated with the Ethnic Studies Program, the Program for the Study of Women and Gender, and the California Legacy Project.
