Student Research & Internships

Within the ESI community of scholars, we strive to perform research that can be used by the public at some level to make decisions regarding the environment. We pride ourselves on involving undergraduates extensively in our research.

    Learn about undergraduate research in Environmental Studies and Environmental Sciences, see past undergraduate publications and presentations, and learn about internships with The Nature Conservancy.

  • undefinedUndergraduate Science & Engineering Symposium (USES)


    USES symposium and workshop exposes newly declared majors to the research process and to improve recruitment and retention in the sciences. It will also allow student researchers to present their work (or that of their labs) in a professional format.

  • Internships

    Undergraduates majoring in Environmental Science or Environmental Studies are required to complete an internship or conduct research. To fulfill this, students may seek out an internship at a local environmental agency or conduct research under the supervision of a faculty member.
