Ulistac Natural Area Outreach Center
The Outreach Center is composed of one staff position: a part-time Outreach Coordinator. Numerous volunteers contribute to the success of the Outreach Center and of the Ulistac Natural Area Restoration and Education Project.

Advisory Board
President, Clysta Seney McLemore Clysta is retired from the semiconductor industry and was active in the formation of Ulistac Natural Area. She has served on the Maricopa Audubon and Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society Boards of Directors, the NOVA Workforce Investment Board and was elected to two four year terms with the Santa Clara County Open Space Authority. She holds a B.A. from Santa Clara University, a Teaching Credential from San Jose State University and a M.A. from the University of Redlands.

Education/Outreach, Dennis Dowling Dennis is the Science Department Chairman at Wilcox High School in the Santa Clara Unified School District. He is Co-Director of the Montebello Ridge Environmental Science Program for Santa Clara Unified. Dennis has taught a Bay Ecology Environmental Science summer school class for the past 26 years, and, with students, has built trails, removed non-native plants, planted native plants and performed bird and mammal counts for areas such as Don Edwards U.S. Fish and Wildlife Bay Refuge at Alviso. He holds a BA in Biological Science from San Francisco State.

Ulistac Site Manager, Chris Salander Chris is responsible for acquiring the plants and equipment and overseeing the planting and plant care. He laid out the Bird & Butterfly Garden, the Oak Savannah, and the Oak Woodlands included in Phase I of the restoration. Chris has led field trips through UNA and conducted animal, plant, and insect surveys. Chris is a member of the North American Butterfly Association, the National Audubon Society, and the California Native Plant Society.
