OCSP Programs

The OCSP provides longitudinal services to our students who enter our programs as high school students. That is, we track our students from high school, to college and beyond. Throughout their time with us, our students are continuously recycled back into our programs as role models and mentors. The OCSP is housed in the College of Arts and Sciences at Santa Clara University. We are located within the Liberal Studies program.

OUR Mission

  • To strategically attract students from groups traditionally under represented at Santa Clara University through innovative and strategic outreach efforts.
  • To provide culturally relevant support services to all of our students
  • To develop leaders capable of making an immediate impact on their respective communities upon graduation

OUR History

The Office of College Special Programs, commonly referred to as OCSP, unofficially began with the establishment of the Eastside Future Teachers Project in November, 1995. Between 1995 and 1998, a design for the office which would evolve into OCSP was developed. The OCSP was formally established in January, 1998. A total of six programs now complement the Eastside Future Teachers Project. In June, 2000, our first seven Eastside Future Teacher Project students graduated from Santa Clara University.
