Future Teacher Project Programs
FTP provides longitudinal services to our students who enter our programs as high school students. That is, we track our students from high school, to college and beyond. Throughout their time with us, our students are continuously recycled back into our programs as role models and mentors. FTP is housed in the College of Arts and Sciences at Santa Clara University. We are located within the Liberal Studies program.
OUR Mission
- To strategically attract students from groups traditionally under represented at Santa Clara University through innovative and strategic outreach efforts.
- To provide culturally relevant support services to all of our students
- To develop leaders capable of making an immediate impact on their respective communities upon graduation
OUR History
Future Teachers Project, formally know as Eastside Future Teachers Project, was established in November 1995. Between 1995 and 1998, more programs were added to ensure high school students were better prepared to apply and be accepted to Santa Clara University's teaching program.
