    Math majors may now declare an emphasis in Mathematical Finance or an emphasis in Mathematics Education.  Details about requirements can be found here.

    Financial assistance available for current SCU students interested in teaching high school mathematics.  Detailed information (including instructions for applying) is available here.
  • iconFree Tutoring

    • Sussman Room (check schedule on the blackboard opposite the door to O'Connor 31).  Sponsored by Pi Mu Epsilon.
    • Basement of Benson, 7-9pm Sunday through Thursday.  Sponsored by the Drahmann Center.
  • iconGraders needed for MATH/CS courses

    See the list in the Sussman Room.  Students who have taken a course and received an A or B may apply.  Contact the instructor directly.
  • iconProblem Solving Seminar

    Organizing session on Wed April 1 (no joke), 3:30pm, in the Sussman Room (OC 31).  See Prof. Walden for questions.
  • iconMATH/CS Society Pizza Night

    Date and time to be announced.  New officers will be elected for next year.  Any student interested in mathematics or computer science is welcome.
  • iconPost-graduation Reception

    The Department will host a reception for graduates and families and friends after the graduation ceremony.  It is held on the sidewalk on the west side of O'Connor Hall.  Graduating seniors: please bring your families there so you can introduce them to the faculty.
  • iconMATH 125 - Mathematical Finance (New)

    Offered in Spring 09 with Professor Ostrov (labeled MATH 196 when taught last Spring).  Required for those pursuing a concentration in Mathematical Finance within the Master of Science in Applied Mathematics.
