Math majors may now declare an emphasis in Mathematical Finance or an emphasis in Mathematics Education. Details about requirements can be found here.

Career Night Dinner
Join fellow majors, minors, and other interested students, and faculty at the Adobe Lodge on Wednesday, January 28 to hear SCU Math and CS alumni speak about their careers after graduation. Sign-ups on the Sussman Room door after January 14. $10 for students.

Mathematical Association of America Section Meeting
Saturday, February 28 at the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute in Berkeley.

CSCI 169 - Programming Languages
Will be offered in Spring 09 with Father Smolarski in addition to CSCI/MATH 166 - Numerical Analysis.

CSCI 182 - Digital Steganography (New)
Offered in Winter 09 (in place of CSCI 162) with Professor Tran. Recommended for those pursuing an emphasis in cryptography and security.

MATH 125 - Mathematical Finance (New)
Offered in Spring 09 with Professor Ostrov (labeled MATH 196 when taught last Spring). Required for those pursuing a concentration in Mathematical Finance within the Master of Science in Applied Mathematics.
