Career Night Dinner at the Adobe Lodge
Wednesday, February 6, 5:30 pm. Join fellow majors, minors, and other interested students, and faculty to hear SCU Math and CS alumni speak about their careers after graduation. Sign-ups are in the departmental office. The cost is free for Pi Mu Epsilon members, $10 for SCU students, and $25 for others.
Be sure to see your advisors at the beginning of February to fill out graduation paperwork.
Winter Departmental Colloquium Series
Tuesday afternoons, 3:50 - 4:50 pm, with light refreshments at 3:40. Speakers from on and off campus give presentations on various topics related to mathematics and computer science.
Bay Area Mathematical Adventures Talks (BAMA)
Santa Clara University, along with San Jose State University, hosts several talks each year by outstanding mathematicians. The talks are geared toward high school students interested in mathematics. More information can be found at http://www.mathematicaladventures.org
Noyce Teacher Scholarships
Available to students interested in pursuing a teaching career. These one-year scholarships will pay for almost 90% of the tuition and fees related to obtaining a teaching credential in the highly respected, fifth-year, post-baccalaureate program in the SCU Department of Education.
