Departmental Requirements for a Minor in Computer Science

 

Lower Division Courses
  • CSCI 10 (Introduction to Computer Science [C++]), 60 (Object Oriented Programming), 61 (Data Structures)
  • MATH 12 (Calculus II) or 51 (Discrete Mathematics)
  • Computer Engineering 20 (Assembly) and 21 (Logic Design)

 

Upper Division Courses

A student minoring in computer science must take three upper-division computer science courses. In place of an upper-division computer science course, a student may select from Math 144 (PDEs), 176 (Combinatorics), or 177 (Graph Theory).

 

Information about a Minor in Information Technology and Society

The Department also cooperates with Santa Clara University's Center for Science, Technology, and Society in the interdisciplinary Minor in Information Technology and Society.
