  1. The NFWSC, a non-profit established by Cesar Chavez & Dolores Huerta, is seeking reliable and self-starting college students to work with at-risk youth, between the ages of 5-13, as a Resident Activity Leader (RAL).The RAL will work with the site staff in implementing the after-school and summer program and assist youth with their homework, reading & subject learning center activities. Site is located at Gilroy Apartments in Gilroy, CA. Position requirements: at least 18 years of age, US citizen or legal resident, interest in helping a low-income community establish new programs to help children, and able to commit to 6 months of service. The ability to speak Spanish is preferred. Benefits include: ultimate learning and work experience, monthly living allowance of $2500/6 months (12 hours/week) or $3750 / 6 months (18 hours/week) and an end of service education award of $1000 (12 hours/week) or $1250 (18 hours/week).   2. NORTH AMERICAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE ASSISTANTS IN SPAIN
    OVER 1,200 GRANTS!
    DESCRIPTION:
    The program provides students of the Spanish language and teachers of English an opportunity to learn about Spanish language and culture while living and working in Spain. The program begins mid-September and ends mid-June.

    DUTIES:
    ● Grantees will share their language and culture in the K-12 system and Foreign Language Schools throughout Spain under the supervision and guidance of a classroom teacher.
    ● Grantees will have a 12-16 hour weekly schedule.
    ● Other activities and responsibilities, such as conducting conversation classes, attending meetings, making presentations in classes and participating in extra-curricular activities.

    REQUIREMENTS:
    ● Hold a U.S. or Canadian passport
    ● Be a native English speaker
    ● Be a Junior or Senior in college or hold a BA, BS, MA, OR MS
    ● Have an intermediate/advanced level of Spanish

    CONDITIONS OF THE GRANT:
    ● A minimum monthly allowance of EUR 700 (US$ $1025)
    ● Orientation course at the beginning of the school year and ongoing development
    ● Full medical insurance
    ● Official certificate, issued by the regional education authorities
    ● Grants will be given on a first-come, first-served basis
    ● All additional expenses (R/T international flight, lodging, meals, etc. are not included and are the responsibility of the grantee
    ● No application fee
