Departmental Solo Student Recitals

Departmental Student Recitals are presented toward the end of each quarter when one or more Music at Noon recital hours are devoted to performances by Santa Clara University students. Performances may be solo or ensemble.

Student Recitals
Any student, with the sponsorship of his/her applied music instructor, may present a non-credit solo Student Recital. These recitals do not require a pre-recital hearing. Printed programs, and the use of the Concert Hall are provided. Any and all other arrangements are for the student to make.

Junior and Senior Recitals
A Junior Recital may be presented during the year with the sponsorship and assistance of the student’s applied music instructor. All Junior Recitals must be presented to a recital hearing committee, include a variety of musical styles and periods, and contain between 35 and 60 minutes of solo music. Students may wish to share the recital with another student.

The Senior Recital is presented in the senior year. Similar in nature and structure to the Junior Recital, the Senior Recital is 45 to 70 minutes in length. Students may wish to share the recital with another student.

Honors Recitals
A Junior and Senior Recital may be presented in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the Honors Program.
