Joshua Elder - Voice
Joshua Ian Elder has sung many leading baritone roles, including Don Magnifico in "La Cenerentola", Papageno in Mozart's "The Magic Flute", the title role in "Gianni Schicchi", and Sid in "Albert Herring". Joshua sang the role of Marullo in Bay Shore's "Rigaleto" and was recently featured in the Performance Showcase Concert in San Francsico. Other recent engagements included Bello in "La Fanciulla del West" with the Mendocino Music Festival, and Il Sagristano in Livermore Valley Opera's school production of "Tosca" as well as Don Magnifico in Bay Shore Lyric Opera's school production of "La Cenerentola." In addition to maintaining a private voice studio, Joshua is a member of the voice faculty at Santa Clara University and Head-Royce Schools in Oakland. He received his Bachelor of Music from Arizona State University and his Master's in Voice Performance from the University of Arizona. Joshua lives in Castro Valley with his wife, mezzo-soprano Jessica Marik Deardorff, and their three cats. |
