Melissa Lin, AccompanistPianist Melissa Lin has been teaching piano and performing with singers and instrumentalists in the Bay Area since 2000. A staff accompanist at Santa Clara University since 2003, she has collaborated with faculty members in recitals, and performed with students in the Music and Theater/Dance Departments. Melissa has served as rehearsal pianist for Music Department's production of The Medium(2006), The Telephone(2006), The Magic Flute(2005), as well as Theater Department's production of Once On This Island(2006), and Kiss Me Kate(2004). As a freelance musician, Melissa has worked as rehearsal pianist with Opera San Jose(The Crucible, A Masked Ball, Don Giovanni), West Bay Opera(Manon Lescaut), Mission City Opera(Carmen), Notre Dame de Namur University(Tales of Hoffman), and Santa Clara Chorale. She has also played in the band for Annie Get Your Gun(2006) and Ragtime(2004) with Foothill Music Theater. A graduate of SUNY-College at Purchase and the Curtis Institute of Music, Melissa has performed extensively in the US, Japan, France, and Belgium. She was previously a full time staff accompanist at the University of the Pacific, Conservatory of Music, in Stockton, CA, and Encore School for Strings, in Hudson, Ohio. |
