Convent of the Holy Names in Los Gatos
LITURGY COORDINATOR
Convent of the Holy Names in Los Gatos is seeking a part time liturgy coordinator
(10 hours per week) responsible for planning, preparing, and on-site coordinating of liturgies for Sundays and special feasts and seasons. The convent serves as a residence for approximately 75 Sisters. This is an ideal position for someone that enjoys working in a spiritual senior retirement community.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Meets with the convent Liturgy Committee at least monthly
*Plans Sunday and Feast Day liturgies including music and appropriate rituals for feasts/seasons (Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter season, etc.)
*Communicates with presider, sacristans, and cantor/musicians
*Prepares worship aids
*Provides cantor/musicians with music; assists with set-up
*Other related duties as requested

QUALIFICATIONS


*Education: Education in liturgy sufficient to perform basic liturgical coordination duties. This requirement is commonly met with a Masters or Bachelor’s degree, certificate, or diocesan formation program in liturgical ministry.
*Experience: Parish experience in liturgical ministry

*Computer skills including word processing and graphics
