Luis Cheng-Guajardo

Adjunct Lecturer  (Ph.D., Stanford University, 2013)

General research interests are in the philosophy of action, moral theory, and moral psychology. Dr. Cheng-Guajardo's recent work focuses on the intersection between normative demands and the autonomy of persons. His dissertation, The Practical Demand of Means-end Rationality (2013), systematizes approaches to understanding the normative requirement of means-end rationality specifically in light of recent challenges that such a requirement is a “myth”. He has previously worked as a financial analyst and has helped manage conflicts of interests globally for JPMorgan Chase Bank. Curriculum Vitae and personal webpage.
