Josh Michael Hayes
Lecturer (Ph.D., New School for Social Research, 2005) Areas of concentration include 20th century continental philosophy, ancient philosophy, metaphysics, ethics, and aesthetics. His dissertation completed in 2005 is entitled “The Desire of Dasein: Heidegger’s Interpretation of Aristotelian Orexis.” His publications appear in major philosophical journals, including the Graduate Faculty Philosophy Journal and The Review of Metaphysics. He is currently investigating the moral status of non-human animals in both the analytic and continental traditions. Curriculum Vitae
